This page will be about the music that inspires my writing
This is not a page where you will find MP3's. It's just about the music that inspires me while I'm writing.
For years I've been hooked on the music of The Clash. Arguably the greatest punk rock band in the world. A lot of the time, I have their music in my ear buds hooked up to my computer. I share a bit of a footnote with Clash frontman Joe Strummer as we were both born on the same day of the same year. I recall how when I was living in Calgary how I was out record shopping and I came across their first self titled album in 1977. When I pulled off the plastic I wasn't sure what to expect but when I did the music blew me away and still does. All the songs they recorded were classic but the song that is I think their best is "Death or Glory."
I also like third wave Ska. Anything third wave Ska. I discovered Ska while I was a Pentocostle Christian back in 1996. I love Ska for it's uplifting beat and catchy rythems.
I also enjoy listening to other bands like Kansas, Midnight Oil, old David Bowie, Queen, almost anything from the 1980's. Very little from the 1990's except Ska. Ska being one of the best parts of music in the 1990's
